As part of our commitment to the environment and overall modernisation plans, we took delivery of our first two fully electric EPL253 forklift trucks from Handling Solutions UK in February.
In our fast-paced daily working environment where we transact anything up to 700-pallets per day the management team at Farrell’s decided to make the change from diesel trucks to full electric.
Having studied the market, the business decided to align itself with Handling Solutions to swap out our 10-strong fleet of counterbalance trucks. It is anticipated that by switching to lithium power that annual fuel savings could be as much as £2,500 pa per truck. In addition, each unit can save up to 20,000kg of CO2 being a meaningful contribution to our ESG policy.
