From our conception nearly 40 years ago we have grown with our customers, to become a provider of high quality pallet distribution and warehousing solutions.
Being a privately owned company our client relationships are always personal whether we are working with small to medium sized businesses or international customers.
Farrell Transport Limited has a varied and extensive fleet of up to date vehicles. All of our vehicles are tracked, allowing us to maximise the usage of each vehicle and therefore keeping us as one of the most efficient transport companies around.

Robert Farrell
DIRECTOR
I started the company approaching forty years ago with a vision to offer a transport service throughout the United Kingdom from a small industrial estate in Bingham Nottinghamshire.
In the early years the company organically grew with its customers and took on more work and more vehicles as and when it had too.
In the later part of the nineties the company started its journey into pallet networking, and this has been a big part of its success becoming a shareholder member of the Pallet-Track network which has seen its presence grow in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire areas.
It’s great to now see the company operate from its owned site at Staunton only a few miles from its original base. Today Farrell’s continues to offer a unique combination of experience and reliability through our professionalism, high quality of service which is all backed up with leading edge technology.
In my spare time I like to work, to free up some spare time so I can work some more! In all seriousness I enjoy working in the business the same today as I did all those years ago! It’s in my DNA! I am embarking on Paddleboarding in the better weather which should be fun – for those watching!
Alison Farrell
Director
I am delighted to still be involved in the business after over 20-years. I still enjoy the day-to-day involvement working with our customers and of course our long serving staff. My role in the business is assisting in the accounts department mainly dealing with financial and administrative aspects with our principal customer Pallet-Track.
I am very family orientated, I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family including my wonderful grandchildren and walking the newest member of the Farrell family – Pip the German Shepherd Pup!
Guy Sandford
DIRECTOR
I joined Farrell Transport in 2010, initially on a short-term basis, to assist the director shareholders through a significant business transition. I quickly realised that the ethos of Farrell’s – in particular, our commitment to service and staff/customer relations – was a great platform to build something very special.
I became a shareholder/director in 2014 and, working with Bob, we’ve spent the last ten years growing and transforming the business into the highly respected haulier we are today. I can’t wait for the next evolution following our investment in a new senior management team in 2024.
Despite all this, I’ve managed to continue enjoying my “outside life” – regularly participating in endurance events, walking the dog, struggling round the golf course, and maintaining my lifelong punishment from supporting The Albion.

As a proud member of Farrell Transport, I’ve been with the company for over 15 years, contributing to its growth and success. Throughout my time here, I’ve had the privilege of gaining extensive experience in the transport industry, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the highest standards of service. With a strong commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and customer-focused transport solutions, I remain dedicated to upholding the values and vision that have shaped our family business.
I’m a lifelong Newcastle fan – because nothing builds character like 90 minutes of hope, heartbreak, and questioning all your life choices! I’m a happy Magpie at the moment though!
Matthew Cramp
Senior Manager
As a Senior Manager at Farrell Transport, I am tasked to grow and develop the company, with a keen focus on operations and financing. Drawing on my twenty-five-year career in retail and commercial banking followed by ten years in the transport industry, I leverage expertise in managing financial strategies and improving operational efficiencies to drive the company’s success, as well as providing strategic leadership and drive key initiatives that maximize profitability and ensure sustainable growth as well as identifying new opportunities for expansion.
Outside of work I am a family man who enjoys life with Emma (my partner), my three children (22, 17 and 13), two dogs and a pond of fish! I love my sport, especially Formula 1, Rugby and Barnet FC and finally if I have any time left in the day then you will find me either looking after the garden or trying to stay fit!
Andrew Spencer
Senior Manager
I joined the management team at Farrell’s in April 2024 after spending over 25-years in the pallet network sector. During my time at Pallet-Track I worked closely with Farrell Transport and got to know the business very well. My experience is in client relationships with my role very much customer facing. I hope to continue to build on the loyalty and longevity of existing clients, along with leading the brand identity of the business, taking new business opportunities whilst also overseeing our extensive warehouse operation.
In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs which I’m better at than walking the golf course! Reading or now in the modern era listening to audio books and enjoying chauffeuring my daughter around her multiple sporting pursuits.
